This year we will be attending the 7th annual Monterey County Joint Gang Task Force “Gang Conference” and we will be equip with thousands of dollars worth of raffle prize giveaways that will be perfect for this winter and beyond! Visit our booth November 9th!

The Monterey County Joint Gang Task Force is currently hosting its 7th annual Gang Conference at the Steinbeck Institute of Arts and Culture (formerly Sherwood Hall).  Each year the Gang Task Force has been able to provide 16 hours of CA POST certified gang training to roughly 300 local, state, and Federal law enforcement officers. This training is able to be put on through the generosity of local donors who make this annual event free to all attendees and allows the GTF to incur no cost in its hosting.  This years topics included an update to AB109 (prison realignment), Drop-out gangs, and prison gangs.  Additionally, the newly elected Mayor of Salinas, Joe Gunter will be once again barbecuing a hosted lunch for conference attendees.  While the event is closed to any non-sworn law enforcement personnel, GTF Commander Stan Cooper will be available for additional media questions on Friday, November 9th at 1130 in front of the hall.
